Dakota Blue Richards

Dakota Blue Richards is an English actor who has been known for playing Lyra Belacqua in the film "The Golden Compass," as well as Franky Fitzgerald, who is part of the third generation cast of British the teen drama "Skins". Additionally, she has a long tradition of appearing on stage in shows such as 'Arcadia' and A Streetcar Named Desire. An London native, Richards grew up in Sussex. She was a part of a few lessons in drama at her school but was mostly taking acting lessons on the weekends. She would skip school for auditions. 'The Golden Compass' was her debut on screen as an actor. Although the film received some mixed reviews, Richards received widespread positive reviews on her acting.
